Community partnerships have always been an important means for extending the services and resources available to RESOLANA participants. RESOLANA partners with a number of social service organizations that do various levels of in-reach into the jails. Some agencies like the Wilkinson Center and New Friends New Life provide informational workshops about services that are available to the women when they are released. Others bring classes into the jail. Therapists from the Family Place have facilitated regular classes for RESOLANA participants who are survivors of sexual abuse or victims of domestic violence for over three years. ANTHEM Strong Families provides a periodic class on Healthy Relationships. RESOLANA also has active partnerships with arts organizations like the Dallas Museum of Art, the Kesheth Dancers and La Reunion TX. RESOLANA partners with SMU's Human Rights Education Program and the Criminal Justice Department at UNT and is affiliated with the School of Social Work at UTArlington. RESOLANA plans to actively expand our network of partners - both those doing in-reach into the jail and those who assist the women at reentry -- as we settle into our dedicated program space at DCJ and begin developing an assessment and case management component.
